Welcome to...
I am a 23 year old German web developer who lives in London, United Kingdom, Europe. I have been developing PHP5 for half a decade and have enjoyed front-end development for more than a decade.
The first website I ever made was at an age of 12 via an online service, but soon I recognized that I want to do more than just drag n drop websites. From there I developed myself with challenging projects on my own.
After the first contacts with content management systems I visited Webmasters Akademie in Nuremberg to achieve a proper education in web development and fundamental understanding of business management. As server administration was part of the education I gained experience with Debian Linux that led me to another school for administrative server duties.
At Lutz und Grub AG in Germany I achieved several certificates for Microsoft server solutions, as well as the LPIC-1 and LPIC-2 that are issued by the Linux Professional Institute.
At the moment I study IT Security at University and successfully finished my first year.

Freelancing Work
Since February 2011 I have been working officially as a freelancer in the industry. At that time I founded a company an trade as Wimbledon-IT. Usually I work from home but like to work in the city of London for required office work during contracted times.
Web Development
I am specialised in Zend Development and therefore develope the majority of my projects with Zend products. Nonetheless, I do a lot to keep up with the best practices in jQuery, HTML5, CSS3 and Photoshop. Now and then I try using different frameworks such as the Twitter Bootstrap to get small projects done.
Security
One of the most interesting subjects for myself is security in the IT. Weather an article is called "20 Hacks for PHP", "Linux Hardening" or "How to secure your Wordpress" - I have read and tried them. However, the most challenging and most sophisticated subject for me within the security is network security and I love "playing" around with it.

At the moment I am based in London due to my studies at university and my freelancing work. My main work can be done from home as a 50mbit Broadband connection is essential for a successfull online freelancing business. Nonetheless, I like to go to the city and work in various kind of offices - meeting new faces and getting in touch with people in such a cosmopolitan environment is a lot of fun.
Germany
The origin of my being is Elmshorn, Germany. Elmshorn is a small village just in the suburbs of Hamburg, that is known for its strong media and culture environments and of course the harbour. I gained my main web development experience in Nuremberg, that is in the south of Germany.
